Delbert Jones Bodkin, 89, South Main St., Dayton, died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2000, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg, where he had been a patient for two weeks. He had been ill for a month.

Mr. Bodkin was born June 14, 1911, in Headwaters, and was the son of the late Eli Bodkin and Ida Mae (Sims) Bodkin.

He was a member of the Crummett Run Church of the Brethren in Moyers, W.Va., and retired from the Bridgewater College maintenance department.

On Oct. 12, 1946, he married the former Elizabeth Stone, who died April 13, 1987.

Surviving are twin daughters, Nancy Harold and Wanda Rhodes; and three grandchildren.

The Rev. Robert Alley and Mr. Hugh Whitten will conduct a graveside service at 11 a.m. Friday at Oaklawn Cemetery in Bridgewater.

The family will receive friends at the home of his daughter, Nancy Harold, at any time. Friends may also call at the Kyger & Trobaugh Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.
