Charles Pinkney Botkin, 89, died Sunday, July 8, 1990 in Rockingham Memorial Hospital. He was born Dec. 9, 1900 in Pendleton County, a son of Eli and Ida Sims Bodkin. He was a farmer and a member of the Crummett Run Church of the Brethren. Survivors include a brother, Delbert Bodkin of Bridgewater, and a number of nieces and nephews. A service was conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Allen Pugh. Burial was in the Bodkin Family
Cemetery, near Sugar Grove. Pallbearers were Wilmer and Ray Botkin, Warren Mitchell, Ralph Smith, Clyde Puffenbarger, Nelson Simmons, William Simmons and Alvin Simmons.
