Gaines of South Carolina, Mrs. Beulah Hood, of Athens, and Mrs. Bruce Bryant of South Carolina, all of whom were with him at his death, and accompanied his remains to the tomb. He leaves the following brothers and sisters to mourn his death: Mr. Arch Venable, of Nicholson; Mr. J. M. Venable, of Nicholson; Mr. R. Venable, of Jefferson; Rev. W. E. Venable, of Atlanta; Mrs. Jack Bowers, of Nicholson; Mr. D. Venable of Jefferson; Mr. Wesley Venable and Mr. H. M. Venable, of Jefferson; Mrs. Walter McDaniel, of Jefferson; and Mrs. Lizzie Wood of Atlanta.
He was sixty-two years old. He was a member of the Methodist church. Mr. Venable was a quiet and peaceable citizen, who attended to his own affairs, and did not interfere with the business of other people. He had many friends in this county, who mourn his demise.
