Abner and his wife along with four other people are buried at their farm
not the Hoosick falls cemetery. The farm is now owned by Jack Wysocki and was bought off of Tibbetts who purchased it from Abner.
The burial site is on a hill, Pine Valley Rd,rt 22,south of Hoosick Falls. The family Cemetery was buried over by a bulldozer and the stones are buried. I did find Amy Ellis stone , she was the wife to Abner's son Abner. she died at age 30 in 1829. This has been recorded as a Historical site by the Historical Society of Hoosick Falls, N.Y.
Abner went to war when he was 16 yrs old.
In 1778 he spent 16 days as a patriot.
April 1,1779,spent 1 year as a private,fought under Capt.Isaac Cook's
Company,In Col.Nathan Miller's Regiment from Aug.1st to Aug. 26th, in R.I Militia.And he fought under Capt. Howe ,Elliotts R.I. Artillery Reg.
SAR records state:Abner's File for pension W.F.18.972, Records from David Library in Wash. Crossing , PA. He is also recorded in SAR and DAR records. He was my 5th G.Grandfather.Iam a Son of Am. Rev.
