Wilbur's occupation; Retired 1973 as owner of Hawk Auto Parts Service Store. Wilbur graduated from Atchison High School and the College of Emporia. In 1927 he moved to Shawnee, Oklahoma and started his Auto Parts business with his Uncle Charles Hawk. He was also a postmaster of Shawnee from 1953 to 1957. He was very active in Wesley United Methodist Church and civil affairs. Within his church he was the Chairman of the Administration board and the Chairman of the Trustees. After retirement he was the President of AARP Chapter #1527 in Shawnee and active in the Senior Center Board and R.S.V.P. Board. He was proud of his family and loved them very much and attended all the Hawk and Higley reunions. In 1988 he suffered a stroke
