Hugh W. Sober, 69, of 1215 NE 10, died of cancer bout noon Sunday in his home after an illness of six months.

Services have been set for 10 am Tuesday in Putnam City Baptist Church where he had been a member for 16 years. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery.

Born in Farragut, Iowa, March 19, 1879, he moved with his parents to a farm east of the city at 14. He later moved to a farm west of the city near Lake Overholser where he farmed until moving to his present home three years ago.

Survivors include his wife, Bessie; two daughters, Mrs. Clovis West, Taloga, and Mrs. J. C. Traweek, Godley, Texas; a brother, L. M. and a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Fields, both of the home.
