Cole, his sons and daughters and their families gathered at the home of Lyman Cole on the Land Colony Sunday. The house was decorated with many pretty garden flowers in his honor and a sumptuous dinner was served. Present for the birthday reunion were Mrs. Charles Beck and family from Knights Landing, Mrs. Walter Russell and family from Loma Rica, Mrs. Walter Nelsen and Mrs. Charles Uhl and family from Sacramento, Mrs. George Bethard and family from Clear Creek, Mr. and Mrs. Lesley Cole and family, Wesley Cole and children of Durham, Harlan Cole and family from Lincoln, A. Davis of Los Angeles, the honored guest and his wife and Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Cole and children.

"Retired Pastor Dies In Durham --- Luman Ezekiel Cole, a retired United Brethren Church minister and farmer, died at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon at his home in Durham at the age of 81 years.
"Mr. Cole was born September 7, 1854, in Massachusetts and came to California in 1895. He settled at Bangor, where he served as a minister, and 16 years ago moved to
Durham to engage in farming. He was a member of the Durham United Brethren Church.
"Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Lydia Ann Cole of Durham, and the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Lois E. Beck of Sacramento, Harlan A. Cole, Durham; Lyman O. Cole, Durham; Mrs. Evelyn L. Bethard, Paradise; Mrs. Elsie H. Russell, Marysville; Wesley W. Cole and Leslie M. Cole, both of Durham. Twenty-nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.
"Funeral services incomplete last night, will be announced by the Westfall Funeral Home.
