"He was born in Bangor March 22, 1896 to Luman and Lydia Cole. He had spent his entire life in California and was a retired almond rancher. He was married to Gladys Summers in 1930 after the death of his first wife, Frances Bradford in 1926.
"He was a member of the Durham Community Church and the Rotary Club of Durham. He also served as a Durham scoutmaster for 30 years.
"Surviving him are his widow, Gladys; a son, Millard W. of Durham; daughters, Mrs. Clara Bronson of Chico and Mrs. Marilyn Webster of Yuba City; sisters, Mrs. Lois Beck of Bodega Bay, and Mrs. Elsie Russell of Marysville; brothers, Harlan and a twin brother, Lesley, of Durham and seven grandchildren.
