Albert Rowland

TULIA--Albert Rowland, 73, of Tulia died at 10:40 p.m. Thursday in High Plains Baptist Hospital in Amarillo where he was admitted at 2 p.m. Thursday.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Central Church of Christ with Harold Kennaner, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery directed by Wallace Funeral Home.

Born Sept 16, 1911 in Quanah, Mr. Rowland moved to Tulia in March of 1954 from Silverton. He was a retired butane trucker and a member of Central Church of Christ. He married Willie Mae Yancey Nov. 21, 1936 in Hollis, Okla.

Survivors are his wife; one daughter, JoAnn McCauley of Tulia; five sisters, Annie Nuckles of Lubbock, Opal Adams of Bakersfield, Calif., Oleda Crawley of Quanah, Valrie Finch of Fort Worth and Margaret Bordofske of Big Spring; two brothers, William Rowland of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Eugene Rowland of Quanah; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A daughter, Norma Faye Lusk, and a granddaughter, Renee Lusk, were killed in a train wreck in June 1978.

The family suggests memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to a favorite charity.
