The 1st child of Johannes and Eva (Loecher) Creveling, Sr. He died in Mansfield Twp., Sussex (now Warren Conty), NJ. He was born in or near Maxsain, Germany. He married Mrs. Catherine Weller Mayberry, a widow on January 28, 1762. He had five children and two step children; who both assumed the Creveling surname. His adopted step children: Margaret "Mary" R. Mayberry Creveling Baylor, the wife of Michael B. Baylor, Mary Mayberry Creveling Woolever Olp, the wife of Mr. Woolever with whom she had five children and John Jacob Olp, with whom she had eight children. His children: Elizabeth Creveling Henderickson, the wife of Joseph Henderickson, John Weller Creveling who married Sophia Eveland, Anne Creveling Henderson Clover, the wife of Joseph Henderson and Peter Clover, Christiana "Christina" Creveling Eveland the wife of John Eveland, and Sarah Creveling Johnson, the wife of Christian Johnson.
