Isaac Henry Hoots was the eldest son of Naomi Belle Groce and her husband Ferdinand Kincaid Hoots. On May 2, 1942 he became the husband of Doris Whitaker. This union was blessed with two children, Gerald and Reba. His siblings were Amanda, Clyde, Ethel, Calvin, Clifton, James, Bertha, Bobby and Grady Hoots.
