On April 9, 1916 he married Naoma Belle Groce, daughter of Isaac S and Amanda E Hoots Groce. Their children: Amanda Belle, Isaac Henry, Clyde D, Ethel Swaim, Calvin Asbury, Clifton Baxter, James Herbert, Bertha Leigh Wooten, Bobby Gray, and Grady Spencer.
