He was born September 29, 1932, the son of the late Earl Franklin Truslow and Florence Mason Truslow.
He is also preceded in death by a brother, James Coleman, and a sister, Virginia Clark.
Allen is survived by his wife, Edna Coleman Truslow; son, Gary Truslow and wife, Amanda of Buena Vista; special granddaughter, Hailey; sister, Betty Tyree and husband, Tony of Vesuvius; special niece, Debbie Jones and husband, David; many other nieces and nephews.
Allen was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Buena Vista.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Chapel with the Rev. Everett Mills and Rev. Greg Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, October 2, 2009 from 6-8.
