Old Resident of Iola Died Shortly Before Noon Today.

Mrs. Melissa Adams, wife of William Adams, died shortly before noon today at her home, 852 North Street, after an illness of two weeks. Her death was due to heart failure, following a light attack of pneumonia. Mrs. Adams was about 68 years old. She is survived by her husband and four children. Sam Adams, a son living in Kansas City, and three daughters, Misses Adda and Elsie Adams, school teachers, and Mrs. D. H. Brewer. She was a sister-in-law of C.E. Adams, clerk of the district court. Mrs. Adams was one of the old settlers of the county and the news of her death will be learned with sorrow by a large number of friends. No funeral arrangements have yet been made.
