MARY E. ADAMS
Miss Mary E. Adams, who was
born at Carlyle and taught school
in Allen County as a young woman,
died Dec. 24 at Long Beach, Calif.
Miss Adams attended Emproa
State College and then taught
school for several years in Iola
and nearby before moving to the
West Coast in 1919. She taught in
the Long Beach, Calif. schools un-
til she retired in 1940. She was a
member of the Presbyterian
Church. She leaves her sister,
Miss Adda Adams, Long Beach.
Services will be conducted by
the Rev. Thomas W. Nyquist at
2 p.m. Friday in the Porter-Kin-
ser Chapel. Burial will be at
the Iola Cemetery.∼Molther's maiden name--McCambel
