Obituary There passed away at the residence of her youngest son, Mrs Ann Elizabeth Hill, relict of the late Mr Frederic Hill. Mrs Hill had been for the last 10 years a resident of Upper McLean street, Woodville.
The deceased lady came to the Woodville district with her parents, Mr and Mrs Edward Harding, some 60 years ago and settled on the property now known as the racecourse. She was born at Taynton, Oxfordshire, England 60 years ago and came to New Zealand while yet in the infancy on one of the early sailing immigrant ships. She landed at Napier and lived for some years at Waipawa before coming to Woodville.
Mrs Hill is survived by a family of three sons and six daughters, Messrs Eric (North Auckland), Edward (Woodville), Stephen (Tokomaru) and Mrs H. Marshall (Thames), Mrs G. Cook (Morrinsville), Mrs C. Dunckley (Dunedin), Mrs Mercer(sic, Merson) (Murchison), Mrs H. Piper (Hamilton) and Miss Grace Hill (Woodville). There are also six brothers of deceased, Messrs Frank (Wellsford), George (Hawera), Percy (Whangarei), Edgar and Leo (Woodville) and Arnold Harding (Hamilton)
