MUSCATINE, Iowa - Sharon Lee Bean (Skow), 61, of Muscatine, died Thursday, June 22, 2000, at Unity Hospital.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Island Cemetery in Fruitland.

Mrs. Bean (Skow) was born June 17, 1939, in Muscatine, the daughter of Eldon and Anna Peters Blake. She married Danny Bean Sr. in Nov. 1954 and later divorced.
She tended bar at the Hilltop Tap, retiring in January of 1998.

She enjoyed preparing Christmas breakfast for her children and grandchildren.
She organized the delivery of Christmas baskets, as a member of the 3-D Club, for the Voluntary Action Center.

She loved to cook and try out new recipes for her friends and family. She also enjoyed fishing and country music.

Survivors include a daughter, Belinda Howland and her husband, Tom, of Muscatine; four sons, Danny Bean Jr. and his wife, Sandy, Robert Bean, Bruce Bean and his wife, Shelly, and Norman Bean, all of Muscatine; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Truitt of Muscatine and Kathy Meyer and her husband, Ralph, of Burlington; a brother, Harold Blake and his wife, Mary, of Muscatine; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Betty Bower, Ramona Wagg, and Donna Blake.
