Services for Edgar "Morris" Ashley, 87, of Snyder will be at 2 p.m. today at Wright Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Roy Rosson officiating.

Burial will be in Dunn Cemetery under the direction of Wright Colonial Funeral Home of Snyder.

He died Friday, Aug. 17, 2001.

He was born Sept. 16, 1913, in Brown County and married Lillian Copeland on Dec. 22, 1935, in Colorado City. He was a retired stock farmer and building contractor. He was an outstanding athlete in school sports, setting many school records. He was a member of Dunn Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Margo Lambert of Big Spring and Betse Rosson of Modesto, Calif.; a son, Wade of San Miguel, Mexico; a brother, Carl of Snyder; a sister, Modean Johnston of Snyder; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.
