Sims Dies
Monday
Henry Clay Sims, 74, died Monday in Oklahoma City after a three month illness. Funeral services were Wednesday in the Pentecostal Holiness church with Rev. Sam Scantlan officiating. Burial was in Green Hill Cemetery. Bahner Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
Grandsons-in-law served as pallbearers.
Sims was born Jan. 25, 1895, in Tennessee. He moved to Davis in 1961 from Sylvania, Ohio. A retired farmer, Sims was also a veteran of World War I.
Survivors include his wife, Virtie Sims of the home, 308 South Sixth; two daughters and one son, Mrs. Jessie Leger, Mrs. Dorothy Williams and Harold Sims, all of Oklahoma City; five sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Ada Clure of Oklahoma City, Mrs. Annabelle Stultz of Iron City, Tenn., Mrs. Nona Thompson of Wynnewood, Mrs. Alice Stultz of Marlow, Mrs. Dora Thomas and McKinley Sims of Davis and Johnny Sims of Littlefield, Tex.; 20 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
