Walter David Lowry, 74, of Caruthersville, died Nov. 17, 1994 at Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis. Born April 18, 1920 in Caruthersville, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Rushing. For many years he was a dispatcher at Pemiscot County Sheriff's Department. He was a member of The Wesleyan Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Zetta Elizabeth Burrow Lowry of Caruthersville; A son, Herman Lowry of Bartlett, Tenn.
A brother, Raymond Rushing of Caruthersville; Two sisters, Peggy Watkins of Paris, Tenn., and Rosa Lee Jones of Gardena, Calif.
Three granddaughters, Anna Christine, Amelia Marie and Alicia Elizabeth Lowry, all of Bartlett; Three grandsons, Keithen Scott Lowery, Kalib Lowry-Rudd and Anthony Lowry-Tomlin, all of Bartlett.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Anita Marie Lowry.
Services were Nov. 19 at 2 p.m. at The Wesleyan Church, the Rev. Kenny Lee officiating, with burial in Little Prairie Cemetery.
