Otis Jefferson Davis, 64, of Kennett, died Sept. 1 at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett. Born June 14, 1923, Chaiona, Mo., he was the son of George Henry and Fannie Lavina Rively Davis. He was a car salesman in Pemiscot County for several years and also worked on the river. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and First Baptist Church of Caruthersville.
He is survived by two sons, Larry R. Davis of Sugarland, Texas and Rick Davis of Tulsa; Two sisters, Mrs. Irene Summitt of Cardwell and Mrs. Pauline Alton of Grand Blank, Mich.; Two brothers, Orel Davis of Advance and Thomas Davis of Laurel, Miss.; And three grandchildren.
Services were Sept. 4 at 2 p.m. at Dean Funeral Home chapel in Caruthersville, the Rev. Ira Singleton officiating, with burial in Little Prairie Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Keith Jean, Hansel Morgan, Bruce Cheek, Billy Jack Davis, Harry Keith, Mark Pender and Jerry Bethune.
