Horace Green, a lifetime resident of Mountain Home, died Saturday (Dec. 21, 1996) at Gassville Nursing Center. He was 91.
Mr. Green was born March 25, 1905, in Mountain Home to Hard and Minnie Green. He married Georgia Martin on July 14, 1932, in Mountain Home. He was a saw mill operator and a Baptist.
He is survived by his wife, at home; three sons, Loranza Green of Summit, Elmer Green of Gassville, and C. J. Green of Mountain Home; a daughter, Jerri Chapman, of Paola, Kan.; a brother, Cleo Green of Mountain Home; a sister, Virgie Lance of Mountain Home; a sister-in-law, Leanna Green of Mountain Home; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Junior Green; three brothers; three sisters; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be 8am - 2 pm Thursday, with the family receiving friends from 1 pm until the 2 pm service at Roller Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Donnie Speaks will officiate. Burial will be in Table Rock Cemtery. Pallbearers will be Leon Due, David Byrnes, Jimmy Raney, Kelly Holmes, Caley Cantrell and Lowell Cox.
Memorials may be made to Gassville Nursing Center.
Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home.
