Mrs. Virgie Lance, age 90 of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away Monday, March 11, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri.

She was born June 22, 1922, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, to Hardin Bertrum and Armenta Estelletta Brooks Green. On October 21, 1939, she married Virgil Newton Lance in Mountain Home. Mrs. Lance was a member of the Mountain Home Church of Christ, was a homemaker, and enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her flowers.

Survivors are: a granddaughter, Lori (Larry) Cox: Mountain Home; five great-grandchildren: Joshua, Jacob, Jordan and Julia Cox: all of Mountain Home; and Jessica (Clint) Tinin: Norfork, Arkansas; a son-in-law: Bill Swadley: Mountain Home; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lance was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter: Carla Swadley; a great-great-grandson: Jayden James Tinin; four brothers and four sisters.

Visitation will be from Noon-9:00 P.M. Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Roller Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday at the Mountain Home Church of Christ at College and North Streets with Brother Bill Dillon and Brother Michael Lance officiating.

Interment will follow in East Oakland Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Paragould Children's Home.
