Mrs. Blanche Linebrink, 74, widow of Carl Frederick Linebrink, died Wednesday at 10:10 PM in Defiance of the hospital having been admitted at 6:45 PM Wednesday from her home at 345 5th St. She had been ill since Sunday. Born in Defiance County on September 26, 1886, she was a daughter of a Amiel and Alice (Grimm) Markel. Her husband died January 2, 1950. Surviving are five sons: Leonard, Cincinnati, Harold and Dayton, both of Wayne, Michigan, Virgil, Rt. 1, Mark, Center and Robert, Defiance; 20 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Two daughters, Helen and Dorothy, died in infancy. The body, now in the Mansfield Mast funeral home, will be taken to the Pilgrim Holiness church of which she was a member at 1:30 PM Saturday to lie in state until last rights at 2:30 o'clock. The pastor, the Rev. Roy Bellamy, will officiate and the burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in Tiffin Township. - Crescent-News, March 16, 1961.
