Gregory L Bertram, 62, of 422 Adams St., Sheboygan Falls, died late Tuesday morning at St. Nicholas Hospital after an illness of several months.

A native of Fond du Lac County, he was born October 9, 1895, on a farm at Johnsburg, a son of the late Christian and Eva Bertram. On July 27, 1920 he was married to Miss Mildred Klapperich, at St. Marys Church at Marytown. The couple farmed near Marytown, later moving to Kiel, where they resided until 1942 when they moved to Sheboygan Falls.
Mr. Bertram was employed as janitor at St. Marys Parish in Sheboygan Falls from 1951 to 1952 and then worked at the Dillingham Manufacturing Co., until his retirement in 1955. A veteran of World War I, he was affiliated with Friedrichs-Mueller-Norgaard Post 149, American Legion. He also was a member of St. Marys Church and the Mens Holy Name Society.

Survivors are his wife; two sons, Francis and Vernon, and a daughter, Mrs. Norman (Marita) Reinke, all of Sheboygan Falls; 16 grandchildren; two brothers, Anton of Johnsburg and Joseph of Campbellsport, and six sisters; Mrs. Peter J Schmitz of Dolva, N.D.; Mrs. Susan Finnemann of Beach, N.D., Mrs. Mary Wagner of St. Peter, Wis.; Mrs. Herman Anders of Campbellsport; Mrs. Moritz Ziegelbauer of Marytown; and Mrs. Robert Konen of Brookfield.

One son, two brothers and a sister preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Dean Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls and at 10 a.m. at St. Marys Church. The REv. Charles Neu, pastor, will be the celebrant of the requiem high mass.
Burial will be in St. Marys Cemetery.
