Carrie R. 'Cass' Alexander, of Lewistown, died Sept. 17, 2009 at Ohesson Manor. Carrie was the daughter of George E. & Carrie R. (Dippery) Mellinger. Her husband, Richard I. Alexander, Jr. died in 2004. She is survived by a brother, Donald Mellinger Sr. of Lewistown; three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Grose of Lewistown, Mrs. Wayne (Marie) Mitchell of Muncy, and Mrs. Paul (Phyllis) Lutz of Lewistown. She is also survived by in-laws, Jack Alexander & wife Judy of Lewistown, Gary Alexander & wife Carol of Lewistown, Roger Peachey of Belleville, Jane Speicher of Belleville and Cathy Cavanaugh of Lewistown. Carrie was an insurance claims adjuster before retiring in 1997. She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Lewistown. Memorial services will be 11 a.m., Tues., Sept. 22, 2009 at the Barr Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Mother Lisa Schoonmaker will be officiating. Interment, St. Mark's Cemetery in Lewistown.
