Eloise Griffin Walker, 84, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Monday, March 15, 2004, at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 17, 2004, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Fitzgerald, Georgia with Dr. Buddy Cooper and Rev. Steve Waldorf officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. Tuesday.
Mrs. Walker was born November 27, 1919 in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late John Jacob and Ophelia Hunter Griffin. She was a former sales lady at Halperin's Department Store for many years and was a retired secretary with Fitzgerald Coca-Cola Bottling Company. Mrs. Walker was a member of Central United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and the Friendship Sunday School Class. She was a former member of the Eastern Star and a former board member for the American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Walker is survived by her husband: Frank D. Walker, Fitzgerald; one son and daughter-in-law: David and Patricia Walker, Fitzgerald; one daughter and son-in-law: Frankie Joy and Ted Cowan, Fitzgerald; one grandson and granddaughter-in-law: Frank David, II and Janet Walker, Macon; two step-grandchildren and one great grandchild.
