Funeral services for Mrs. John Griffin, 76, of Ocilla, were held at Old Valley Grove Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Griffin, the former Phelia Hunter and a native of Wilcox county, was born August 14, 1879, the daughter of Tommy and Elmina Griffin Hunter.
Survivors include her husband, John J. Griffin of Ocilla, four sons, Elder Ashley Griffin of Ocilla, William Henry Griffin of Berrien County, T. B. Griffin of Dalton and Harmon Griffin of Fitzgerald; three daughters, Mrs. Arthur Coley of Ocilla, Mrs. Rachel Myrick of Macon and Mrs. Frank Walker of Fitzgerald. Thirty nine grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren also survive.
Paulk Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
