Rachel Myrick Nipper, 83, died Wednesday at Eastside Nursing Home in Macon, Ga. A native of Irwin County, Ga., she was a homemaker and a machine operator for McAfee Box Co. in Macon. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Macon, Ga., and had lived in Macon for many years, coming from Irwin County.
She is survived by two daughters, Ouida Bateman of Ocilla, Ga., Dorothy Gillespi of Oklahoma City, Okla.; eight sons, Edgar Myrick of Gordon, Ga., Bobby Myrick of Gray, Ga., Thomas Myrick of Interlachen, Billy Myrick of Washington, Ill., Travis Myrick of Interlachen, Wendell Nipper of Oklahoma City, Okla., Billy Nipper and Robert Nipper, both of Macon, Ga.; brother, T. B. Griffin of Savannah, Ga.; sister, Eloise Walker of Fitzgerald, Ga.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be 4 p.m. today at Old Valley Grove Primitive Baptist Church in Irwin County, with the Rev. Tommy Dudley officiating. Burial will be in Old Valley Grove Cemetery, Irwin County, Ga. Paulk Funeral Home in Fitzgerald, Ga., is in charge of arrangements.
