Jessie Lee Smith, 74, died Sept. 15, 2009, at his home in Mineral Wells.

Service is 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 18, 2009, at the Church of God with Rev. Jerrel Tomlin officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Park Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

He was born April 20, 1935, in Wichita Falls, Texas, the son of Gertie Lee Satterfield and James Andrew Smith. He was a lifetime resident of Mineral Wells and a member of the Church of God. He married Marjorie Faye Watson on Oct. 17, 1954, and they were married 55 years. He worked at PECO for 44 years, and following retirement he worked four years as a PECO consultant.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Faye Smith; sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Sandy Smith, Eddie Sr. and Gail Smith, all of Mineral Wells, Terry and Carrie Smith, of Weatherford, Texas; grandchildren and spouses, Mark and Rita Watkins, Somer Smith-Senor and husband, Kevin, Cemi Jo Smith, Eddie Smith, Blake Gregory, Hunter Smith, Jesse McCain Smith and Lacoda Davis; great-grandchildren, Justice Watkins, Jack Whaley, Max Whaley, Hannah Grace Senor and Jonah Thomas Senor; two brothers; and three sisters.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; and two sisters.
