Mr. Robert H. Glezen, age 78 years passed away at his home just north of the square, this city, following an illness of about two years. He was a native of Petersburg and one of the best knows men. He was the last of four children-Mrs. Carrie Whitman and Miss Mary Glezen having passed away several years ago, and Miss Abbie passing on a few months ago.
Surviving is a niece, Mrs. Sarah Sullivan, daughter of the late Mrs. Whitman. Mr. Glezen's father was a soldier in the Civil war and a Captain. The son inherited patriotic tendencies. He was a member of the Sons of Veterans, He was a Republican in politics, in religion a Presbyterian, and a devout man and good citizen, for a number of years past, he was engaged in gardening on his properties in and about the city.
By trade he was a carpenter, but hadn't worked at the trade for years. In earlier days he served the town on its trustee's board with judgment and efficiency.
