Andy was the son of Samuel L. Bradford and Ruhamia Hensley, born and raised in the Little Creek area of Yancey Co., NC. During WWII he joind the Merchant Marines. He also worked as a lumberjack for the CCC cutting timber to clear areas for the Pinnacle and Buffalo Fire Towers; he was a tobacco farmer and a line man for Erwin Electric and Power Co. On May 11, 1935, he married Pearl Lee Hensley and moved in with her and her parents on the farm on Spivey, Unicoi Co., TN.∼Son of Samuel & Ruhamia Bradford. Husband of Pearl.
