WEBBER, Carl J., 83, of Wirtz, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 14, 1998. He was the retired owner of Hobart Sales and Service, a member of Halesford Baptist Church and the Woodmen of the World Camp #89. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gladys O. Webber. he is survived by his wife, Mary Brown Webber; his children and their spouses, Donald W. and Bea Webber, Carolyn W. and Chuck Moore, David G. and Phyllis Webber, and Susan W. and Roland Daniel; 10 grandchildren, Todd A. Webber, Robin W. Hammock, Todd C. Drummond, J. Dwayne Tidrow, Kellie D. Tidrow, Joel M. Webber, Harley J. McGrady, Justine Moore, Brandon Moore and Kara A. Webber; two great-grandchildren, Olivia A. Hammock and Jonathan N. Hammock; two sisters, Margaret W. Swope and Hazel W. Atkinson; two stepchildren, Harold L. Brooaand Lucinda Schleicher and her husband Jeff and step-grandchildren, Christopher Brown and his wife, Erin, Heather Brown, Erinn Schleicher and William Schleicher. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, February 16, 1998 at Halesford Baptist Church, with pastor Melvin J. Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to tthhe Halesford Baptist church Building Fund, c/o Halesford Baptist Church, 2485 Lost Mountaiin Road, Wirtz, Va. 24184. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
