Atkinson, Hazel Frances, 86, of 429 Edgemont Cr., Vinton, Formerly of Jenkinjones, W. Va., where she resided for 58 years, died Tuesday, August 10, 1999 in Ravenswood Care Center, Ravenswood, W. Va. Born in Shady Grove, Va., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Lester Anderson Webber. She retired from McDowell County Schools, Anawalt, W. Va. and had been a member of the Jenkinjones United Methodist Church since 1933. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry E. Atkinson and one brother, Carl Webber. Survivors include five sons, Ronnie and wife, Ann of Parkersburg, W. Va., Kenneth and wife, Reatha of Roanoke, Michael and wife, Billie Jean of Vinton, Curtis and wife, Kathy of Ravenswood, W. Va., and Steve and wife, Oleda of Ripley, W. Va.; 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Margaret Swope, Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 13, 1999 at 11 a.m. from Rodriguez Pocahont! As Funeral Home, Pocahontas, Va., with the Rev. Tom Hurt officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Bluefield, Va. Friends may call Thursday, August 2, 1999, from 4 to 9 p.m at Rodriguez Funeral Home Chapel. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
