David Cleveland Bartley, 532 Buttermilk Spring Road, died Saturday afternoon (May 7, 1960) at 4:15 o'clock in the King's Daughters' Hospital where he had been patient for the past 12 days.

A native of Nelson County, he was born May 9, 1915, a son of Mrs. Betty P. Bartley, Route 6, Staunton and the late David A. Bartley. Mr. Bartley operated a garage at 901 Greenville Avenue for a number of years. Besides his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Dolores Campbell and Miss Linda Bartley, both of Staunton; three brothers, Herman Bartley, Hubert Bartley, both of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Randolph Bartley, Route Staunton; five sisters, Mrs. Delia Synder, Mrs, Kelsie Clinedinst, Mrs. Martha Austin, all of Staunton. Mrs. Nellie Campbell, Montebello and Mrs. Clara Campbell, Route 6, Staunton.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday morning at eleven o' clock in the Haines Chapel near Montebello. The service will be conducted by the Rev. E. R. Calhoun. Burial will be In the South Mountain Cemetery adjoining the Chapel.

Active pallbearers will be: Ersklne Campbell, Buddy Campbell, Tex Campbell, Robert Clinedinst, Francis Clinedinst and William Clinedinst.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Charles Chandler, Randolph Tray er, Jack Miller. Hugh Caywood, George Campbell, Wayne Agnor, James Bartley and Gene Bryant.

The body will remain at the Fred Henry Funeral Home until 9 o'clock Tuesday morning and then will be placed In the chapel.
