Carol Ann Carlisle, 67 of Woodstock, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Centegra Hospital in Woodstock surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Woodstock on August 12, 1949 to Frank J. and Mary Ann (Regner) Mass. She married Philip R. Carlisle on July 24, 1965 in Geneva, IL.

Carol was a devout catholic and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Woodstock. She worked as the accountant and bookkeeper for various rental properties that she maintained with her husband. She was a hard worker and very strong willed. She was also very creative and enjoyed needlepoint and cake decorating. She taught preschool for many years because she loved interacting with the children. Most of all, she loved her family and was always there for them through thick and thin.

She is survived by her children, Diana Collins, and Ken (Val) Carlisle; her granddaughter, Katie Collins; her mother, Mary Ann Mass; her sister, Margaret (George) Cangialosi; her niece, Carrie (Darrin) Fischer; and several great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father; her beloved husband of 51 years, Philip R. Carlisle; and her sons, Timothy Carlisle and Robert Carlisle.

A visitation will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church, 312 Lincoln Ave. in Woodstock, on Friday, December 2, 2016 from 9am until the time of the funeral mass celebrated at 11am. Burial will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Woodstock.
