ISRAEL M. ROOBIN
Funeral rites for Israel Meyer Roobin, 28, of Cordele, Ga., who died on the 26th of May in a Baltimore hospital, were held in Atlanta, Thursday, May 27th Rabbi Harry H. Epstein and Cantor Max Landman officiated.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Thelma Schwartzberg Roobin; one son, Louis Julius Roobin; his grandmother, Mrs. Sara Boniske, of Philadelphia; five brothers, Jake Bernard, Joe Morris, Max Harry, Sam Mitchell and Avrom Alvin Roobin; and two sisters, Misses Ruby Anne Evelyn and Lena Elizabeth Roobin.
Interment was in Oakland cemetery.

Thelma Scwartzberg married Israel in 1930. They had one son together Louis Julian Roobin. Israel died in 1937. After 1950, Thelma married widower William Pearlman--she is buried with William Pearlman in Emanu-El Cemetery in Charleston, South Carolina.
