Daughter of George Amasa Burr and Amelia Eliza (Beal) Burr

She is wife of Marion Francis Case (1872-1948) who she married 29 April 1895 in Burrville, Sevier Co., UTah.

Marion and Tora Elisha Case are the parents of 14 children.

In December 1914, Tora's four-year-old daughter, Lillian died of peritonitis, from falling through the ice. Three weeks later, Tora gave birth to twins, who both died within hours. That December 1914 another child (Erma) was born, but died after three weeks Jan 4, 1915. So in just over one year, Tora had three births and four deaths in her family.

Provo Woman Dies at 90
Tora Burr Case, 90, 445 W. 3rd S., resident of Provo for 14 years and active church leader, died Wednesday in the Utah Valley Hospital of natural causes.
She was born Dec. 21, 1878, in Burrville, a daughter of George A. and Amelia Beal Burr. She married Marion Francis Case on April 29, 1895, in Burrville. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He died April 30, 1948, in Annabelle.
Mrs. Case attended schools in Burrville. Following her marriage she and her husband made their first home in Burrville for a time, then moved to Panguitch. Later they moved to Annabelle, where she lived until her husband's death.
For the past 14 years Mrs. Case had made her home in Provo.
Active in the LDS Church, she had served for many years in the Primary and Relief Society Organizations.
Her hobbies included handiwork and flowers.
Mrs. Case was the mother of 14 children, eight whom are still living.
Survivors include four sons and four daughters, Arnold Case, Annabelle; Mrs. Lynn (Zella) Dickinson and Mrs. LaGrand (Thelma) Nelson, both of Provo;
Glenn Case, Orem; Mrs. Dell (Arvilla) Roberts, Cecil Case, both of Salt Lake City; Elmer W. Case, Idaho Falls, Ida., Mrs. Que (Bertha Olsen, Emery; 45 grandchildren; 146 great-grandchildren, and seven sisters, Mrs. Sarah Coleman, Provo; Mrs. Kate Adams, Mrs. Zola Simonsen and Mrs. Arilla Mortensen, all of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Ella Neilson, Price; Mrs. Benny (Laura) Larsen, Salina, and Mrs. Myrtle Brinkerhoff, Bicknell.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Annabelle LDS Ward Chapel.
Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday at the ward chapel prior to the services.
Burial will be in the Annabella City Cemetery.
