Icelina Nelson was born August 24, 1885, in Kansas and moved with her parents Henry Washington & Anna Elizabeth Willlson-Nelson to Waukomis at the opening of the Cherokee Strip. She married Charles R. Carey on October 31, 19 in Kingfisher.
They moved to Fargo in 1904 and then to Woodward in 1928. Mr. Carey died June, 1944.
Surviving are two sons: Ralph of Eads, Colo, and Olin of Higgins, Texas; three daughters, Mrs. Edna Waddle, Mrs. Opal Edwards and Mrs. Pearl Shirley all of Woodward; three brothers, J. B. Nelson. E Norton Nelson, Stratford, Or. and Otto Nelson Los Angeles, three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Caldwell, Hunnington Park, Ca, Mrs. Eucy Fulton, Wichita, Mrs. Christine Pletzer, Turner, Or. 18 grandchildren and 36 gr grandchildren.
