JENNINGS B. NELSON SR - Funeral services for Jennings B. Nelson Sr, 74, 1021 N. Adams, who died Sunday in his home, will be at 11 am Thursday in the chapel of the Nenninger-Allen Funeral Home with the Rev Howard C Snell officiating.
Burial will be in Square Cedar Cemetery, east of Cleo Springs.
Nelson was born at Bison and lived in Ringwood and Ames before moving to Enid about 1937. He was employed as a plumber by Clements Plumbing and Heating Co for several years before his retirement in 1961.
He and Mrs. Florence Crews were married in Jan 1964 and she died Jun 8, 1969.
A son a dau and 2 sis preceded him in death.
He is survived by a son Jennings B Jr, Enid. 3 dau Mrs. Agerd (Lila) Dihs, Oklahoma City, Mrs. A. H. (Delpha) Donaldson Covington and Mrs. Joe (Alta) Anthony, Enid; 8 grandchildren 4 great-granchildren, 2 bros Otto Nelson of
South Gate, Calif, and Norton Nelson Stratford, Calif, 2 sisters, Mrs. Christine Pletzer, Turner, Or, and Mrs. Bertha Caldwell, Huntington Park, Ca. and a stepson, Larry Crews, Pueblo, Co.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Heart Division in Nelson's memory. The Henninger-Allen Funeral Home will serve as custodian of the fund.
