Tristram married Anna Emery, the daughter of Stephen Emery and Ruth Jaques. They were married 10 April 1711 and had the following children:

Tristram was a trader who lived in the portion of Newbury now Newburyport and built a large house a little back from State Street, near Marke Square, which was considered an elegant manor as late as the beginning of this century. He also owned a mill privilege and nearly a thousand acres of land in Biddleford, Me. At his death, April 1762, his estate was appraised at £1983.9.8
