John E. Sessions Dies Suddenly At His Home Tues.
John E. Sessions, Sr., 72, died suddenly of a heart attack at his home, 72 Jennings street, Lanett, last Tuesday morning about 9:45 oclock. He had suffered no previous illness and his death came as a shock to friends and family.
Born and reared in Columbus, Ga., he had been a resident of Lanett for the past 30 years and for many years was an employee of the Lanett Mill. Mr. Sessions was well known throughout the Valley.
Surviving him are three sons, John E. Sessions, Jr., West Point, Route 2, Wallace, U. S. Army, and W. R. Sessions, U. S. Navy; four daughters, Mrs. Verna Payne, Mrs. Winchell Hughey, Mrs. Olus Brown, all of Lanett, and Mrs. O. F. Adams of East Point, Ga.; one sister, Mrs. A. T. Bowling, Milltown, Ala.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Johnson & Blakely, pending arrival of sons in service.
