Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 4 at 11 a.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Lanett.
Mrs. Payne is survived by her husband, Verna L. Payne of Lanett; two sons, Benjamin Lee Payne of Lanett and Jan Edward Payne of Yorktown, Va.; her sister, Montez Crowder of Valley; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Born Aug. 31, 1914, in Shiloh, Ala., Mrs. Payne was a member of Plant City Baptist Church. She was a retired employee of WestPoint Stevens Lanett Mill, where she worked in the cloth room. Mrs. Payne was the daughter of the late Amanda Belcher Sessions and J.E. Sessions.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
