Born in the Shiloh Community of Randolph County on December 9,
1924 to Willie B. And Arka Ellen Beane Moffitt, Mrs. Kivett was a graduate of
Coleridge High School. With her husband Odell she was owner/operator of Kivett
Frame Shop and assisted in the
operation of Kivett & Son, Inc. She
was a charter & life member of Randolph Arts Guild, member of Beta Sigma
Phi Soriety for 42 years and a member of First united Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband: Odell B. Kivett; daughter &
son-in-law:Vickie Ellen & H. Michael Durham of Asheboro, NC; son &
daughter-in-law: Odell B. (Benny) & Donna S. Kivett of Asheboro, NC;
grandson:Michael Browning Durham and Zachary Benson Durham of Asheboro, NC,
granddaughter:Michelle E. Chriscoe of Denton, NC and Kimberly Dawn Evans of
Asheboro, NC and grandson: Michael Evans of Asheville, NC
Visitation will be Friday, May 4, 2001 from 7 - 9 PM at Pugh
Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. other times at her home. The funeral
will be Saturday, May 5, 2001 at 2:00 pm at First United Methodist Church, 224
North Fayetteville Street, Asheboro with Dr. Boyd Stokes officiating. Burial
will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, Asheboro.
