Heinrich Wichmann Chilton Times November 5, 1893

Kicked By A Horse—On Friday morning, Oct. 27th, Henry Wichmann died at his home in Chilton town, from the effect of an injury received on the 22d ult.

The particulars of the accident that led to his death as learned by The Times is as follows: On Sunday afternoon Mr. Wichmann went to the stable to hitch his team to go to a neighbor's house. While putting the harness on one of the horse, the animal kicked him in the abdomen. At the time of the accident his little son aged ten years was with him. The little boy immediately notified his mother and she with the assistance of a neighbor conveyed him to the house. Dr. Driessel of Hilbert, was summoned and did all he could to relieve the suffering of the unfortunate man. He lived until Friday.

His remains were taken to New Holstein on Sunday last for interment. Mr. Wichmann was 48 years of age. He has been a resident of Chilton town for the past quarter of a century. He was an honest, upright citizen and his death is deeply deplored. He leaves a wife and six children to mourn his death.
