In 1883 Miss Foslien together with her mother, two brothers and two sisters moved to Moe township, Douglas county where they purchased a farm near where her brother, Finger Foslien resided. A few years later the family moved to the village of Brandon where she has since lived.
Those who are left to mourn her, are two sisters, Rachel Foslien, 87 years of age, and Mrs. Annie Werner, and six nieces and six nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and three brothers, her father and a young sister, Emma died while in Wisconsin. Her mother passed away in Brandon in 1918, at the age of 89 years, also her brothers, Finger, Charlie and Ole K. Foslien and sisters Mrs. Lewis Anderson (Julia) and Mrs. Halvor Johnson (Mary) died in this community.
Funeral services were held at Grace Lutheran church with the pastors, Rev. A. T. Tjornhom and Rev. L. B. Sateren officiating. Pallbearers were Ludvig Hanson, Frank Foslien, Mekkel Hanson, Alfred Foslien, Clarence Johnson and Louis Foslien. Interment was at the village cemetery.
