She was the matriarch of a family of 9 living children who prospered in this country because of her love and determination to make a new life for them after leaving Croatia in 1905. She married Philip Stimac on 27 October 1906 at Atlantic, Houghton Co, Michigan, and by 1920 they were living on their farm in Paw Paw, Michigan, raising their family. Even during the Great Depression they were able to put food on their table. Their many descendants are thankful for their hard work so their children would succeed in this country.
