Obituary - Rena B. White died July 10, 2002. She was born May 17, 1910 in Montpelier, ID, daughter of Adolph and Julia Bissegger. Rena was the twelfth child and last survivor of 13 children.
Following graduation from Montpelier High School she attended LDS Nursing College in Salt Lake where she received her RN degree.
In March 1933, she married her sweetheart, Dr. Leslie B. White.
Rena was an active member of the community, serving in diverse areas. She enjoyed her service as a docent for many years at the U of U arboretum and Red Butte Gardens. She was a judge in the National Horticultural Society, an active member of the Neighborhood Garden Club, and a past president of the Ladies Literary Club.
Rena loved music, sports and bridge. Everywhere she went she loved to sing. Rena's spunk, wit and humor will be missed by those she leaves behind.
Survivors include children, Mary Lou White, Raymond NH, Georgianna W. Knudson (Peter), Brigham City, Leslie Barry White (Peggy), Salt Lake City; and seven grandchildren, Chris Schluter and Leslie White, Reta W. Kuhn (Spencer), Karri, Heather and Christian Knudson and Robyn Knudson Froerer (Joshua), and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 13, 2002, at 4 p.m., at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple. Friends may call one hour prior to the services.
