Published September 13, 1924, in the Macon Chronicle-Herald in Macon, Missouri:

G. B. Skinner, was born in Randolph Co., Mo., April 29, 1843 and died Sept 8th, 1924 aged 81 years, 4 months and 9 days.

He was married to Nancy Catherine Wagaman January 25, 1865. To this union 8 children were born. He is survived by his wife, 2 sons, O. A. and T. F. Skinner of Cairo, 6 daughters, Mrs. Lena Austin, Mrs. Ada Condon of Cairo, Mrs. Belle Haley, Mrs. Lulu Capp, and Mrs. Sara Capp of Hannibal and Mrs. Bessie Ray of Jacksonville, 3 brothers D. W. Skinner of Grand Tower, West Virginia, J. C. Skinner of Moberly and Luther Skinner of Cairo; and 18 grand children.

Also a host of relatives and friends to mourn their loss. He united with the Baptist church in 1886 of which he was a faithful member until his death.

By request of the family we are adding that this is the only death to occur in any of these families except one grand child also that all of the number named above are members of the church except the two youngest grand children.

Funeral services were held in the Cairo Baptist church, conducted by W. R. Skinner of Macon, interment at Union Church east of Cairo.
