Some of Mr. Christian's most prominent accomplishments are mural on the southwest corner of the third floor in the Federal Courts Building and a mural in the Napanee post office.

He was also the 1969 winner of the design contest for the entrance gate to the Indiana State Fairgrounds. The gate was never built but he received a $1,000 check for the design. It was one of the 17 he submitted among the 325 entries received.

Mr. Christian worked in the art department of Keeling & Co advertising agency for 37 years. In 1951 he was elected vice president and a member of the board of directors of the firm.

In 1959 Keeling & Co merged with Bozell & Jacobs Inc. where Mr. Christian served as art director and vice president until the office closed in 1968.

He then started the Christian Studio where he did free-lance layouts. In 1972 he joined the Mathewson Group advertising agency of which he later was named vice president and art director. He retired in 1981.

Mr. Christian was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Indianapolis Athletic Club, the Portfolio Club and the Art Guild in Nashville.

He was a 1933 graduate of the Herron Art Institute. He later attended the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts from which he received the Thouron Prize.
